Meet Lisa de Ravel, Alumni Relations Coordinator

Lisa de Ravel is thrilled to be a part of the Development team as Alumni Relations Coordinator in celebrating this organization's past, present and future. Ms. de Ravel was inaugurated into the Princeton Ballet School Wall of Fame in 2004. She joined the American Repertory Ballet in 1988 (then Princeton Ballet) under the direction of Dermot Burke and danced for five seasons in roles by Ailey, Arpino, Balanchine, Bournonville, Limon, Tudor, Taylor, Burke, Webre and others.

In 1989 she began teaching at ARB’s Princeton Ballet School and has inspired a new generation of children to love dance with her patience, grace and passion. Since 1994 she has been the coordinator of the BalletPlus Seniors summer program in Cranbury, NJ. Ms. de Ravel received her training at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the School of American Ballet and Boston School of Ballet. During her professional career she performed with Princeton Ballet/American Repertory Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, Newport News Ballet, Vermont Ballet Theatre and studied with Finis Jhung, David Howard and Maggie Black. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Princeton and is currently pursuing a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University (2009).
