Kristin Scott

Kristin Scott began her ballet training at the age of eight with the Fort Wayne Ballet. A native Hoosier, Ms. Scott graduated from Indiana University with a BS in ballet where she studied with Violette Verdy, Jaques and Virginia Cesbron, and Leslie Peck. While there, she performed leading roles in Balanchine’s Raymonda, The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Don Quixote and Sleeping Beauty.

It was her sense of power and energy that caught Mr. Lustig’s eye in her first season and encouraged him to cast her in the role of Marie in his Nutcracker. From there she performed his Cadenza, Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena, Balanchine’s Tarantella, and created a role in Dominique Dumais’ – a part between parts –. Now in her eighth season with the company she has expanded her repertoire to include Helena in A Midsummer’s Night Dream, the title role in Mr. Lustig’s Cinderella, Sugar Plum Fairy in Graham Lustig’s The Nutcracker, Dialogues, Baker’s Dozen by Twyla Tharp, and the Ballerina in Petrushka.
