What sets American Repertory
Ballet's Princeton Ballet School apart? For over
50 years, ARB's Princeton Ballet School has taught
students of all ages dance, discipline, physical
fitness, and the enjoyment of music and movement.
Founded in 1954 by Audrée Estey, we enroll
more than 1200 students, as early as age three.
Unlike single-teacher schools,
ARB’s Princeton Ballet School has an outstanding
team of dance educators. Many members of this team
are current or former professional dancers. Many
have attained graduate degrees in dance education
and have won major teaching awards.
All ballet classes are accompanied
by live music performed by professional pianists.
Students are exposed to the joyful sounds of classical
music in every class and are given a broad range
of learning opportunities, all focused on our philosophy.
ARB’s Princeton Ballet School
is the educational branch of the critically acclaimed
American Repertory Ballet. Under the artistic direction
of Graham Lustig, both ARB and ARB’s Princeton Ballet
School share a mission to bring the joy of dance
to students and audiences across the state of New
Jersey. As an affiliate of the state’s preeminent
contemporary ballet company, ARB’s Princeton Ballet
School offers students the opportunity to dance
along side of, and learn from professional dancers.
ARB’s Princeton Ballet School is New Jersey’s
largest non-profit dance school, and that makes a
difference. Our staff and faculty are dedicated to
sharing the joy of dance rather than meeting a sales
goal. With our 50-year tradition behind us, you can see
why ARB’s Princeton Ballet School has been the
parent’s (and dancer’s) choice for over 50 years.
