I don’t like a lot of art. I only like two pieces I have in my home, my GDM and my Hirschfeld…Chita Rivera


GDM- Is currently on faculty at Marymount Manhattan College (18 yrs), Montclair State University (7 yrs) and Rider/ARB’s Princeton Ballet School (18 yrs). He is a member of Actor’s Equity and an associate member of The Society of Directors and Choreographers. Geoff was the Artistic Director of The Mantis Project Dance Company (10 yrs). He holds a BA from SUNY Empire State in Dance with a concentration in Musical Theatre. As a performer, Mr. Doig-Marx appeared in the Equity National Tours and Regional Theater Productions of West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Dames at Sea, Cabaret, La Cage aux Folles, Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar and many others. As a Producer Geoffrey received a Certificate of Excellence in Cultural Achievement from the Manhattan Borough President office of The Mayor of New York City for his work as Artistic Director of The Elan Awards which has become a permanent part of the dance archives for The New York City Performing Arts Library. Geoffrey Doig-Marx was resident choreographer of Park Playhouse 8years. Choreography credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Fiddler on the Roof, Hands on a Hardbody, The Producers, The Fantasticks,  “Kiss of the Spiderwoman” for Director Clay James and “Cabaret” was named one of the top 10 shows of 2012 by Bob Geopfert. GDM is also a Fine Arts Artist and is currently the resident artist at POSH NYC and the West End Club. His art hangs at Peridance and The Martha Graham School/Company space. He has painted and created art for Chita Rivera, Patina Miller, Allison Janney, Charlotte d’Amboise, Terrence Mann, Donna McKechnie and Vanessa Williams.
