Scarlet Sonata

Scarlet Sonata features five female dancers and is set to the music of composer Joachim Raff (Violin Sonata no.3 Opus 128, 4 movements).

Choreographer Mary Barton describes the work as “an exploration of classical lines viewed through a contemporary dance lens.” The dancers are featured in duets, solos and groups work. This ballet showcases the women of ARB and “reveal[s] them as the fierce, ethereal, whimsical, sophisticated, graceful, intelligent, powerful dancers they are.”
