And The People Stay Home

From ARB dancer Erikka Reenstierna-Cates:

The project took about 3 weeks to complete, from its first initial inception to its final editing cut, wonderfully put together by Hallie Rumsey-Lasersohn. It was a really enjoyable process, we had a small committee of dancers interested in the project, and it really was a group effort putting it all together. We all researched poems that we found appropriate and insightful, but it was Shaye Firer who came across the “And The People Stayed Home” poem, and sought out the poet and got in contact. Kitty O’Meara was very gracious, supportive and excited in our usage of her work, and asked to be kept updated with our video.
What was so satisfying about this project, was that all of us working on it were very in sync. Our own personal ideas aligned with one another’s almost seamlessly. It was a very inspiring process, and I feel like it really brought everyone that much closer while we all are far apart.
