Shun Araki

Shun Araki was born and raised in Japan. He began dancing at an early age and started his formal ballet training at the age of 16. With Ballet Studio Lien, he performed Le Corsaire alongside fellow ARB2 Dancer Aoi Tashiro. He has also performed Dream 4, New Year Concert and Christmas Party with Tanaka Chikako Ballet before coming to the United States. Shun joined the American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School’s Trainee program in January of 2021 where he performed Rothbart, Pas de Trois, Spanish Dance and Waltz in Swan Lake, as well as Les Sylphide and Fractals, an original contemporary work by Lindsay Jorgensen. This is his first season as an ARB2 dancer.
