Patrick Corbin, a respected fifteen-year veteran of the Paul Taylor Dance Company and Artistic Director of his own company CorbinDances, designs choreography that “moves dancers seamlessly” and is “entirely persuasive” (Roslyn Sulcas, The New York Times). Follia was created on the men of ARB in the spring of 2011 for the Company’s first spring performance season under the direction of Douglas Martin.

“Patrick Corbin’s “Follia,” emphasizes the body’s own mechanics — the fluid articulation of shoulders and hips — rather than an ideal standard. Here the company’s men looked ripped and self-assured, notably soloist Alexander Dutko.”
